I just downloaded 1.03 and with it the realism mod....just made a little test scenario and still, sub sails (partially surfaced) are STILL undetectable by AI radar or visual.... :down: :nope:

Is the "official " patch going to address this?

No changes regarding mast and sail detectability from 1.01... :cry:

In fairness to SCS, and you can take my word on this, it would require a massive overhaul of code, so I understand why it hasn't been done in patch.

Perhaps for DW2. ;)

:cry: :cry: Thats a shame...I did'nt think it would be such a big deal.....just allow radar to detect with increasing probability sail versus masts with greater probabilty with decreased distance, I am not a programmer, but a simple formula is all that is needed... :hmm:

Also, it works fine when one is flying the P-3 or the MH 60, then even periscopes are detected..... :hmm:

Yes, hopefully they can do something about it. Are we sure it will not be in the official 1.03.

It is so unfair for the surface community.

Please please...
