I've tried to find something about this and hope it's fixed in the new patch but here are two issues I run across a lot in multiplayer.

1) flying/hovering sonobouies. When I'm flying a P-3 or helo, occassionally the sonobouy, after launch, will hang in the air or, in a game last night, the thing just kept fly along the bearing I dropped it at. it never hit the water and another hovered about 50 feet above the water. tell me the patch fixes this, please! :damn: Wieird thing is I think I still got reading from the hovering one.... :hmm:

Also, when flying above clouds in a helo, I've seen sonobouies hit the cloud layer and stick as if they hit the floor. they just stay there and I can't drop any till I go below the cloud layer.

2) I've also noticed, in multiplayer games, that occassionally, ships will skip around. Meaning, my helo will be coming in for a landing on a fig and be close to landing only for the ship to suddenly disapear and reapear either foreward more or back more. It took a while for me to land a few days ago because of this.

I think this happens to subs too because I once fired 5 torps at a guy and 2 went right through his icon on the Replay screen but no boom. this may have been the luck of god or something but if a frigate can skip when helo is landing, who says a sub can't skip when a torp is coming towards it.

THese are my two complaints, I couldn't find a topic on it, I hope you guys understand. these are major gameplay issues, at least to me. If the fixes are in the patch, thanks.

Make sure you have 48 files in your Doctrine folder if you were hosting that game. Object behavior is largely regulated by doctrines and if you mess with your game files sometimes you can accidently delete one.

That is actually the number 1 cause of flying sonobuoys.

The other issues sounds like a bad connection.

I wasn't hosting the game and I do have 48 doctrine files unedited. the most I did to them and is move it and and the database files to another place while I had the LWAMI database and doctrines in. I've switched them back.

the skipping ship thing only stopped when the fig would come to a stop.

You do know that you have to have 48 doctrines in the doctrine folder whether you are using the mod or not right?

You have to copy them over the original files.

I'm sorry if you know this already, but some have made this mistake in the past, leading to all manner of problems that I tracked down very thoroughly to operator error. :stare:  :-j

Skipping ships are almost certainly a sign of serious lag in the connection. The flying sonobuoy could possibly be another symptom of lag, if it is resulting from delayed telemetry processing from the host.
