View Full Version : Akula II - set depth - snorkel
With orignal version of DM re-installed and beta 1.03B applied, I've noticed that when selecting set depth to 'snorkel depth' the Akula II goes to depth 15 meters (sail becomes exposed).
Is this a known bug with 1.03B?

just a quick question;
Why in gods name would you schnorkel an akula? not only that its a nuclear submarine capible of going months submerged.
on the real akula's shnorkel mast dont go up that far so in real life they do expose thier sail, but only for use in emergency and when running diesel motors which is not oftern at sea.
PD of the akula is between 18meters and 20 meters, as an akula skipper id say its about right even the panels are correct down to the cream colour (and yes ive been on akulas for real)
need any help dont hesitate to ask any of us or message us.

Perhaps he was talking about recharging his compressed air.

Should only need to go to PD for that, best to ignore 'snort' depth if it's going to expose your sail. Definate no-no that is.

That is unless you find it fun dodging air dropped Mk46 or Mk50 torpedoes. :-j

It doesn't happen with me. snorkel depth does 19m and I can charge banks no problem.
1.03b, or 1.03b +LWAMI 3.00b. Same in both.
Errr, maybe its 18m, can't remember exactly atm. But it's the same depth as describe in the in game database. 1m more shallow than PD.
Thanks Luftwolf for confirming its a known bug.
