Anyone ever messed with the speed settings of a U-boat?

I was wondering if anyone was ever screwing around and made their u-boat go 60 or 70 knots?! If so, how do you do it...and does it make your system stall on the fps?

Yeah ,ive done that with a type II and then ran the gibralter straits on the surface like a speed boat.

That must have been a riot! Tell me this...if I blow ballast at 60 knots, will the boat fly right out of the water?! :rock:

Try this. Go to your basic.cfg, take an VIIB, and in the supercharger slot, put in a snorkel. ( off the top of my head 1630 and 1631 i think are super chargers, 1632 is the snorkel, i *think*)

start the happy times mission, and just .... watch.....Give it a few mins, it took a few mins for the boat to get warmed up.

Slot? whats that? Could you show me how the file would look like, after it has been changed?

Figure of speech, meaning space meant to occupy a certain part. The game expects a supercharger, but when you place a snorkel in place of it, wierd things can happen :P


I had an VIIB, make a very good rendition of a flying fish, cruising along at mach 1.
