Anyone know? I'm just curious to why the spherical array, and the TA have narrowband and broadband capabilities, but the hull arrays only have narrowband.... :hmm:

I'm sure its something technical about how the arrays operate, but if anyone have more details it'd be interesting to hear.

Because SCS said so. In real life, any array is capable of either type of processing.

Note that in the Russian subs, the hull array IS capable of broadband processing, just cannot process DEMON information.

Well that's sorta odd that SCS chose not to give it broadband then... :hmm: :-? their's got to be a reason? right?

Not really... :-?

There are many things that have no good explanation. I just try to remember that the sim is a greatly simplified version of the real thing, and so where the line is drawn is a choice made by the producers of the game.

You want to know my best guess as to why the Hull has no Broadband? Because in 688i H-K the Hull had no broadband. :shifty:
