This will give you civilian style clothes, checkered shirts, fisherman's sweaters and also included is a mod for the Chief's black jacket( I did not do this and cannot find the contact information for the creator?) This will only alter the clothes for your officers. if you want to change your enlisted crew, choose the style you want and copy into data/Crew/Body/Body01/POS folder and rename it to match the file numbered 03. Also note that the game loads these files randomly so that they do not all show up every time you load a game. Enjoy.

you don't need a premium account, scroll down the page and select free
When I scroll down and select download free, next page comes up and says download ticket reserved, please wait 20 seconds. Then it says " No premium-users, Please enter 3CN or OL7 here? ?
Enter the three numbers/characters in the box and enter then the download info will come up. It works, I use it all the time.

I put in the code, downloaded it, and it works great. Thanks again. One thing though, how do you get rid of the shoulder boards and badges? Awesome mod looks amazing!!!

I believe those are hard coded and therefore can't be removed.

One thing though, how do you get rid of the shoulder boards and badges?
Go to this directory: data\Crew\Body\Body01
And delete/remove this file: Rank_Deco_ND.tga

I installed it directly (don't use the Mod Enabler) and it works and looks great. I didn't like the plaid shirts, though, so I put back two files and have a mix of uniforms and civvies.
Great mod!
Nice looking mod Lafeeverted. It's great to be able to change out the uniforms every once in awhile.

Real nice! I highly suggest it!
I'm the Black Jacket guy. When I made it, my aim was a casual look such as you are going for here. When I uploaded it I used screens from my campaign with all the metals and it ended up looking alot more formal. I like the plaids, nice touch.

Hi Payoff. I couldn't find your e-mail in the Black jacket mod, didn't think to do a search for you on this forum  ! Black jacket looks great.
CCIP - looks like you got all the crew into new uniforms, very nice  I have not attempted to edit the crew files to do this. Could you send me a copy of that ?

Oh, actually, all I did was copy the same tga files from the OFF_TGA (Officer) folder to the POS_TGA folder (Petty Officer/Seaman) in Body01. It seems like most lower ranks on my boat wear the blue-ish shirt this way, with a few reds and at least one sonar guy in the jacket.
Great variety

Alright then :D I was never able to get all the uniforms to load in a game like you have in the screen shot. i wasn't even sure if POS Body04 was used. I'll keep trying. You can simulate crew changing clothes a bit by adding these files and more to the random folder of SH3 Commander. i haven't gotten that far yet.

Hi,
very nice and more realistic as the unoforms. Now I have a proposal:
can you make more fishermen pullovers in other structures and colors (darkblue and dirty-grey).
Best regards
Karl

Dasbootclothes is a very realistic mod so I use them now for ever, thanks.
Would it be to give the faces more hairs into the face. Only uboatpeople was alowed by the kriegsmarine to go unshaved!!!
Thanks

more clothes updates will be done, just have not had the time. Some changes have been made to the crew faces in other mods. I seem to remember reading that the beard growth just did not look very good so it was not done. :hmm:

You know, with SUb commander's date folder, you could make a pretty wide variety of uniforms and then introduce diffrent variations on diffrent dates.
So one mission the CE would be wearing the red plaid, the next one ... the blue plaid.
Sub Commander is such a nice untility ;)

Great idea! Or they could even be plonked into the Random folder structure. Then one wouldn't always get red plaid between say 19390901 and 19400101. In fact, you'd be able to simulate changes of outfit *mid patrol*, *as well as* having outfits commensurate with the time period (ie more uniforms in the early years moving to more civvies in the later years perhaps).

I hadmentioned this in the original thread. You could set it up so the clothes change a bit seasonally as well. Much could be done  ! So little time

And you could have different outfits for different patrol zones - ie short sleeves/shorts and tan outfits for the Med.
Gee, aren't you gonna be busy?!?!? :rotfl:

i thought about short sleeves for the Med.I don't thinkthe game can do that. an arm isn't modelled so much as the clothes around it. You could perhaps draw in an arm as part of the clothing texture but not sure how it will render. I have not tried yet so it is worth a shot.
Please could someone upload the mode so it can be downloaded? The rapidshare link got deleted and I can't find it on any other sites.
The clothes look great on the picture.

I'd like to have this mod too!
Does anyone still have it?
I looked around and found this:
This is my current setup for the crew with different clothing and faces.
You should by this get all the different clothes you desired!
It's best tested, if you start a new career! In a VII - I haven't edited the II, IX and XXI crew cfg files yet! But if you continue a career, you should see a difference too!
If you want to change clothing from one guy to another, you can either rename the **_OFF_Body01_D.tga from one number to another, or you can edit the crew_config_VII_*.cfg files (BodyTgaIdx=)
It's made for use with JSGME, download here:

Carotio's option worked as a charm. The crew didn't slow down my computer like some other one I used before and it seems the idea is the same like in Das Boot Clothes. :)
