Due to BDU not supplying me with the Black & Copper fishes :stare: I have decided to order the dock workers in the port to paint me some.

The captain and the men of U-657 are pleased to present you with our own version of the black and copper torpedo's.

Anyone know why everytime I try to DL anything at Filefront (click on the 'Download Now!' icon), the same page reloads, but nothing ever DL's from that place. Strange..

That´s a Cookie problem. When I disable Cookies the same thing happens. You could also try to delete all Cookies.

ooo watch out, deleting cookies is a pain if you have a lot of various internet accounts and you don't remember all your usernames and passwords.

I didn't do a very good job of organizing it, but you should be able to find everything alright..

where ever your U-boat is layed up, i know the dock workers you have there can paint better than these dills i have here ;)

But learn a lesson from my mistakes, ok? ... Make sure they spend less time painting at the docks, and more time out at sea.

Could you two a bit more specific about the origin of the now available Torp skin?

Venatore painted the black torpedo, but he got the idea from TankerIV, who also made black torpedoes. But before TankerIV could release his skins, he suddenly went MIA and never came back.

So me and Venatore both got impatient and we decided to skin our own torpedoes. :up:

Yep, photoshop or any other moderately advanced graphics tool will do the trick.

It seems that everyone is interested in torpedo colors. I guess that means I should just release some PSD's.


So here are two PSD template files... The first template is intended to work with the lighter metallic skins. The second template was an attempt by me to create a black skinned torpedo. I didn't like it, so it was never released.

Btw, I must've deleted my "torpedo icon" templates, because I can't find them anywhere...

But feel free to download my skin templates and make any tweeks or any improvements. And by all means, go ahead and release them! :up:

Actually, the Chessmaster utility is not Oak_Groove's. I believe that little program was made for another game, but Ubisoft decided to use it and release it for the SH3 Community. The Chessmaster program has actually been around for quite some time.

Thanks Gizzmoe. I use Firefox and set a cookie-exception ('allow') for Filefront, but did not notice the DL-links were from a different server-area. Once that server/cookie was allowed, now downloads work.
