I've mainly been creating medium sized and small ships for the upcoming cargo ship mod, so I decided to try a larger ship for a change. The first time I tried this design the end result looked way too much like the Victory Ship; I had a pretty frustrating time tweaking the hull object so that it had its own unique look. This was strange, since the hull is actually one of the easiest things to work on IMO.

For the first time I managed to change some things that had never worked before on my models - a new forecastle and an outwardly-slanting cruiser stern.

It's a "daughter" of the Liberty Ship, and can accept multiple skins. All shots show an early war paint scheme for the Canadian Pacific.

It's a quirk with Pack3d, especially recent versions. It can be corrected, but it appears again as soon as you make any changes to the ship. Since it is a work in progress I'll have to leave it as it is until every single detail is complete.

That reminds me. I've noticed that trucks will always be sent flying by a fuel/ammo explosion and fall overboard, whereas tanks always disintegrate in a puff of smoke and flame. Does anyone know how to change the damage properties for different types of cargo? I, too, would like to make the tanks fly through the air.

I remember that Gouldjg said he was able to make soldiers skyrocket hundreds of feet into the air.. You know, the ones that fly when you blow up a ship.

He used one of the tweeks from TimeTraveller's Mini Tweeker. But you might have to personally ask TT for a tweek that allows you to change the cargo parameters (specifically for the tanks).
