About Marhkimov's Ocean MAdness pack...

Hello :)

Sorry for this newbie question but i was afradi to do something worng so i prefer to ask first.

When i unrar the Marhkimov's rar (http://files.filefront.com/SH3+Mod+MarhkimovsOceanMadness+v2/;4506002;;/fileinfo.html) there are 2 folders :

> Marhk's Ocean MADNESS v2 (only for IUB or 16km)
> Marhk's Ocean MADNESS v2 (only for RUb, 8km, or stock)

I have no idea what this IUB/RUB means :/ and in a readme Marhk tell to be careful to install the good one :D (without saying what it means :P) ..

So could someone help me plz ?
what's the difference between these 2 folders ?

IUB= Improved U-boat Mod, 16km is a extended visability mod, RUB= Real U-boat Mod, 8km is another visability mod, Stock is a unmodded but, patched to 1.4b game.

Here's what those abbreviations mean:
IUB = Improved U-boat Mod
RUB = Real U-boat Mod
16km = 16km Atmosphere Mod
8km = 8km Atmosphere Mod
Stock = normal game, patched to 1.4b

in fact i followed the mods advise of MirabelleBinou in this post (french one) :

- Improved U-Boatv102 (à mettre en 1er après mod_manager)
- Ail Sky Mod v2
- Marhks_Ocean_MADNESS_v2.7
- NavimapModV1.0
- SH3Cmdr23 (à mettre en tout dernier)
- TripartiteTraduction_1.4b (voir mille-sabords.com)

So i'll try to install Ocean_Madness after Improved and Ail sky.

Does that means i should use the "IUB = Improved U-boat Mod " version ?

Yes.

If your PC is able to handle the lower FPS that is caused by the "16km" visability, then the IUB is the version that you want.

Ah damn :/ the other one would have worked too with the other mods i installed ?

if yes i should have installed the other one :( my machine is not bright new and i don't have a very good FPS :/

can i desinstall it with JSGME and install the 8km version without problem ? I already installed all the other mods of the list on previous post.

Sure, if IUB is not helping your system, then you can just uninstall it.

After that, you'll be able to install the 8km version of the Ocean Madness mod. :up:

If you have IUB installed, you need to use the IUB version of Marhkimov's mod.
