UPDATED Helmsman and Sonarmans compasses questions

Silly question.

On both my sonar and radio stations the centre section of the compass is red, I was just wondering if that is correct or if I have an incorrect lightmap file installed. Additionally, on the radio operators compass there is a plain grey section in the middle of the compass. I'm pretty sure it was not always plain. Can anyone confirm what these instruments should look like? I can correct them if necessary..

PS The red illumination on both stations is under 'red light' conditions; ie at night and its the fixed scale that on the Anschutz compass has the scale 0-9. Its white in daytime. The plain section in the centre of the helmsmans compass is a slightly 'distressed looking metal texture

Most of these are SH3's (Ubisoft's) original flaws. No one has tried to fix the problem, because I recon that it would be too difficult to fix.

I wasn't sure if it was me or Ubi, I had one of those 'hmm, don't remember that being like that before' moments....

You know how it is, I've so many mods installed (and there's so much good stuff about!!) that SH3 changes appearance almost on a weekly basis!
