View Full Version : Newbie - Multiple Mods?

Hi all, am new here. Am just starting with SHIII and I've been looking at the mods listings on the downloads page. What I can't figure out, and I've had a look in the forum but can't find an answer, is whether or not other mods can be used with eg the RealUBoat mod. I can see that RealUBoat mod includes some of the other mods, but can mods that are not included also be used with RealUBoat mod? If so, should they be installed before or after RealUBoat mod?

Welcome aboard!

RUb and all other major mods like IUb or Frontflottille must be installed first, then install the smaller mods. I suggest that you visit Avon Lady´s site:
http://www.theavonlady.org/thesh3faq/index.htm

There you´ll find a list of all mods that she has installed and in which order she has installed them. She also uses RUb. The list is very helpful!

Tks all, installed ystdy and am amazed at the depth (no pun intended) of the game. I'd played SHII and meant to pick up SHIII, but had been into another game until recently.

Now this am, I have an intermittent ctd problem with SHIII which will have to figure out.

I'm new also.. already installed a half dozen mods and now trying my own luck. Thanks for the great tools!

I'm particularly interested in modding the effects.. explosions and smoke and stuff like that. Fun to play with this stuff :)
