data/crew/body ?

In the OFF folder, there are 4 Bodies. In the POS folder there are only 2, numbered 03 and 04.

What does POS represent? I am guessing enlisted crewmen? The files in the POS folder are named identically as those of the OFF folder. Do they use the same tga files, or can they be different but with the same name?

Yep, it means enlisted crewmen. But I'm not sure why it is shortened to POS. Maybe it means Pieces of Sh... yeah... :lol:

They can be different TGA's. The officers have their uniforms in the OFF folder, and the enlisted crewmen have theirs in the POS folder.

Does the game load all 4 OFF bodies every time? I have been going crazy trying to get modded textures to load properly. One time they appear, then next time they are gone. Another time I have all default textures in the crew folders, but a modded one will appear in game!?

I have checked the tga's in RUb, subcrew, and my tga files. Uninstalled various mods and rechecked what is now in the crew folder before the game loads. I will have default tga's but get a modded one in game. Try rolling back SH3Cmndr, etc..... It doesn't make sense. Now I have my files installed through Mod Enabler, they are in the correct folder in the game but only 2 of the 3 files appear in game. :damn: Something is overwriting these files or they are not always used?

There are four OFF uniforms, and two POS uniforms. Whenever you get a crewman, his uniform will be randomized. Officers will wear one of the four unis, while petty officers will wear one of the two.

If you don't see all of the uniforms in-game, then it is simply because the game is not randomly assigning them to you.

If you want, you can open your crew files and text edit which uniform colors you want them to wear.

data\CFG\Crew_Config_(whichever u-boat you are using). Each crewmember is listed so you can have different uniforms on the men. There are also crew cfg files in your SH3 folder in My Documents\SH3\data\cfg\Careers\(your commanders name) which show which uniform choice each crewmember is wearing.
