Rub not working....

I downloaded the 1.4 patch, the generic mod enabler, and Rub 1.45, and followed the instructions but when i open SH3 its as if nothing happened.I start a new campaign and there is no destroyer to escort me through the mines. My friend has it, and he even came over and tried to get it to work, to no avail. I have tried un/re-enabling it, reinstalling the whole game and starting over again, and even different mods and it still doesnt work. Is there any extra troubleshooting you guys could suggest to me?

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated :D

try adding the harbor traffic mod. i don't know which mod adds the escort, but I know that with the combo of RUb and HT it is there for me

I believe Rub contains it,but its not just that.

The mod isnt working , that is, it hasnt changed anything.Its just plain old vanilla sh3.

You probably haven´t unpacked it correctly.

The directory structure must be Mods\RUb1.45 and in the RUb dir you should see the "data" directory, a text file and some JPG´s, not another RUb1.45 folder.

I put my money on Gizzmoe's response. However, if you still have problems, consult here (http://forums.ubi.com/groupee/forums/a/tpc/f/857101043/m/3031058373) to ensure that you are correctly setting up RUb in JSGME.

Ive got it unzipped, then i put it in mods, then enable it.
yet the game is the same as it was before....
i undid it all and did exactly what kaleun did.still it doesnt work.

I downloaded sh3 world with harbor traffic, unpacked, and enabled it but it is obviously not working.Anything else?

I just got RUB 1.45, and I can't get it to unload at all. I downloaded 7-zip, but I can't get it to work. There's nothing that says 'Click Here' and it just does it. I keep ending up back at the zipped package.

When you are in Windows Explorer, right-click the archive, then select 7-Zip/Extract here.

I see what i did wrong, I unzipped the file into Silent Hunter III/Mods/Rub. I Guess i cant make an rub folder and unzip it there....thanks for the help. :up: Problem solved

ive got the game to run RUB 1.45 but i keep starting off on the equator near africa with constant reminders that my base has changed to kiel.

will starting a new campaign fix this as i dont really want to abandon my current career.

End the patrol and then start the next, that should fix the problem.
