Possible to mod the freecam?

Has anyone ever thought of modding the freecam?

In specific, what would be kind of cool, is if you could either

a.) Disable all views in freeview except the external view of your submarine

or better yet.

B.) somehow incoroprate the subs external view into a normal view, and not have freecam enabled to have it?


Freecam to me is a bitter sweet thing. I love it for the great scenery, and honestly whats the point of all the graphic mods if you can't view your sub? At the same point in time, it really kills the suspense and immersion of the game, and gives you information you just shouldnt have.

Of all the "gamebreaking" views, id think just the external view of your sub is the least damaging to imersion and suspense.

Wouldn't it be easier if you just self-imposed a restriction onto yourself? Just don't push F12.

That and i dont have to press F12.. i could just press the period key a few times.
