It's easy to do it for escorts, I suppose more complicated for alone ships or subs.

But if you want, for example an AI Perry to make sprints at 28 knots and drifts at 5 knots on a Carrier battle group, you have to:
- Set the speed for the Perry to 5 knots. The Perry must NOT be part of the Formation, because if so, you can't set the speed (it will be the Carriers speed) and the perry will try allways to mantain her position.
Of course you have to make the transit waypoints for the Perry equal to the Carrier ones.
- Make a script for that Perry to accelerate to 28 knots the time you want to be the sprint (5 minutes, 300 seconds).
- Put an approach trigger to de CV at the distance you want to be the closest for the escort (10 miles, for example). And when that happens run the 28 knot script.
This trigger can be refired.

So, the perry will travel at 5 knots, when the carriers aproaches at 10 miles, the perry will sprint at 28 knots during 5 minutes. The she will reduce to the initial 5 knots speed and when the carriar is again at 10 miles, the sprint will comence once more time.

I've tried it with surface escorts and helos and it works pretty well.

Hope I have explained it well and that you find this usefull :yep:

For subs this script is real handy for making them do Crazy Ivans and stuff. In a P-3 mission I made at set times (usually at the bottom of the hour as a little HFRO tribute) the Russian subs will turn to a course and haul cookies.
