Are there dynamic campaigns anywhere? I hate that if I don't complete a mission or meet the objectives, I have to repeat it. Shouldn't the fact I didn't complete the mission have future consequences in an on going campaign?

Also what are Dynamic groups?

The structure of DW allows for three types of scenarios, or "pre-generated missions."

Single Player Single Mission-- These are not connected with any other type of mission and present a single, isolated scenario. Although, of course, a mission designer may create a series of missions that are linked thematically, but they have no in-game connection.

Single Player Multiplayer Mission-- Any mission can be a multiplayer mission if it has more than one playable platform or the players choose to use MultiStation Mode and play on a single platform. Of course, some missions work better for multiplayer than others, and mission designers can do a number of things to make a mission that plays well for single, multiplayer, or both.

Campaigns-- This is the dynamic campaigns that you are refering to. These missions are linked together in the engine and scenario editor, and the results are carried over from one mission to the next, and you cannot play a later mission until you have played the prior ones. It is up to the campaign designer to create the links between the missions, including a mission failure contingency. DW ships with one campaign, and you can get another one by FERdeBOR at www.subguru.com .

Dynamic groups are a mission design feature that allows for AI platforms to be spawned in defined random locations based on probability (of location and inclusion for members of the group and the group as a whole).
