I have completly reworked all roster files for the german submarines.
I hope it's useful for the community.
My roster files differ a bit from the RUB 1.45 files and the Sh3 Commander files(I think both are the same because Berry made the for RUB and for SH3 Commander).
Main difference is that the others files still have some typing errors.
I guess my files are almost error free because I checked them almost 4-5 times by now.
Also I didn't make a file for VIIC/42 because it never went in production.
Any comments are very welcome.

Although the Type VIIC/42 never went into production, numbers were assigned for the type, and these numbers appear in the game when players select that boat type while using SH3 Commander. SH3 Commander remains the only way to get accurate boat numbers for all Type VIIs in the game, since SH3 cannot distinguish between a Type VIIC, VIIC/41 or VIIC/42 unless SH3 Commander is used.

Tell me Beery when I'm using SH3C and I'm in a Harbour buying a VIIC/41 will there be instantly a correct number or do I have to use the change feature in SH3C?
Can't imaging that this works instantly beause SH3 always uses the standart VIIC.cfg file for that and so it has to be replaced prior to buying the VIIC/41 or starting a career with this typ of sub.

If you 'buy' a new boat, you have to make sure that SH3 Commander is set up for the new boat type. So if you're planning on buying a VIIC/41 you have to set SH3 Commander up for a VIIC/41 (it's easiest to use SH3 Commander's single mission set up to do this), then start the game via SH3 Commander and buy the boat. Then, in order to get the correct career files loaded again, exit and use SH3 Commander to load up the career (which should now recognise that you have a Type VIIC/41) again. This is because, when you're in a career, SH3 Commander will only load files based on your current boat. There's no getting around this.
For new career starts, if you use SH3 Commander to run the game you will get correct boat numbers automatically without any set-up in SH3 Commander. So if you start on a Type VIIC/41 you will automatically get assigned a number that's appropriate for the Type VIIC/41.

Perhaps, to avoid the double loading of SH3, you select "Setup for single mission" and in addition to setting the new sub type, you also select the appropriate flotilla and date equal to your career (date inclusive of the upgrade delay). You may still miscalculate and be a month out, but that may still be preferable to watching a little red bar saunter across the screen twice.
