The retail version of the game will be released the 22nd of November. We'll have the new patch at that time...

It just occured to me - that's Tuesday. :oops: :lol:

Sure hope I'm wrong about this gentlemen (and you're right) but it seems to me that I read somewhere round here that we may not get the next patch right at the release date. Something about finding some other issues that SCS wanted to address before sending out a patch. :( On the other hand, I guess they may be forced to send one out to insure compatibility with the retail release. :D

If you downloaded the demo, you will have seen that it is version 1.03, yay!

You can name it "The Desired" as was known the Spanish king Fernando VII (too late we knew the mistake :-? ) :rotfl:

Now I am confused. Do you think that the demo version 1.03 has the new updates that the coming patch 1.03 has? Or is this just a funny coinsidence that they both use the same version number 1.03?

While I am glad that the beta testers found some problems and that Hopefully these problems with the 1.02 patch can be fixed in the upcoming 1.03 patch I sure hope they can get it out soon.

There will no doubt be a change list with the patch. I do have to say i have no insider info here but i am sure that the new demo has the chages we can expect from the next patch. Also i am sure they will relese patch when retail is released in a few days. If they didnt then the new customers would have no one to play with.

From what I can recall, Jamie said that the retail version might have been followed by a 1.03 version which would include the "latest" fixes from the beta testing of 1.02...

Probably they've included v1.03 in the demo multiplayer and the 1.03 will follow up right after the retail version...

Well, the release day is tomorrow...let's wait one more day... :ping:

Well I wonder if I go out to Wal Mart at midnight tonight DW retail will be on shelf :D The new XBox is to be released for sale at midnight :D
Don't think I will be going out to see :D I live about 2 miles from Wal Mart
and I go out there about two times a day to do my exercise walking.
I guess the new patch will make our game equal to new retail version.

I don't see DW for sale at any of the regular retailers yet (ebgames/gogamer), prehaps this is only the release date for their downloadable verison?

! Game Stop have it listed as going on sale on the 24th of this month, interesting...

Yes they were tearing down the doors at Wal Mart last night for the new
X Box they had 10 systems lined up for them yesterday afternoon.
I was near a Game Stop store yesterday in Terre Haute, IN forgot to
ask when the the new DW was to arrive.
Looking for the patch like you guys are :D

We will be posting an intermediate version of the v1.03 patch tomorrow (Wednesday) for everyone to try out over the holiday weekend (it's Thanksgiving in the U.S.). If the retail customers choose to install it as well then you can play MP together, if not they can wait until the official v1.03 patch comes out (probably next Tuesday or Wednesday with the long weekend).

This is unusual because we would prefer to have the BETA testers have a crack at the patch first, but since the retail release is upon us, we see no harm in releasing a temporary patch to hold everyone over until next week.

Sorry to make you guys wait in such an "excrutiating" manner... That was not my intention. :cool:

Question about the retail version ? What is it patched to 1.01?
What will folk's do that don't have a internet connection?
I guess they assume ever one who buys the retail version can upload
the patches.
Will be looking for the beta 1.03 I guess I will remove DW and do a patch
to 1.01 does that sound right? then apply the new 1.03 beta

The new retail version of the game is 1.02, which is rumored to be problematic, so the 1.02 patch was never released.

The 1.03 patch will make everyone's version of the game exactly the same.

I thought the beta testers were already working with the patch? I thought that's how the discovery was made with the bug with 1.02? Also, what do you mean by intermediate patch? How is that different than say, the final one?
