IUb 1.02 and Latest RUb 1.45 Question

Hey Everyone! Hope all is well!

Re-installing SH3 after taking a break so I'm reviewing where all the MODs are. Being a bit lazy in nature . . . the IUb collection caught my eye since it seems to be a fairly complete compilation. However, the 1.02 version only has RUb 1.44.

So, can I simply copy over the RUb 1.45 files into the IUb DATA files to update it? Or will this break too many other modifications?

I believe that IUB includes many of the RUB optiosn but that it replaces some with particular other mods. Now it could be possible to go into the mod and switch out certain RUB 1.44 mods for 1.45 stuff or add new things but certain additions (like the "decks awash" option) are written into single files which include many mods (files like Basic.cfg). RUB doesnt contain all of the mods which IUB cantains so by overwriting IUB with the RUB 1.45 files you stand to possibly remove some things which make IUB different from RUB. We'll likely have to wait for IUB 1.03 before we get RUB 1.45 in addition to all the stuff that we love about IUB.

Hey P_Funk! Thats what I'm guessing too. My post was two-fold actually. To see if it was even possible (probably not . . . but it never hurts to ask). And to see if we could get some responses from the IUb developers . . . maybe even an estimate of an update.

Considering the amount of VIEWS this post has had, there is definitely interest in getting IUb updated.

As long as you have a save inbase, the RuB 1.45 Campaign_LND.mis file can be safely installed over the IuB 1.02 one.

The Campaign_SCR file - you'd have to wait for the next Harbour Traffic (RuB) version.
