I instaled the last sh3 color inspector program for change the water colours and fog values but i´m confused  because there are three main sets (atlantic, mediterranean, artic) and other sub sets of options (middle of the day, storm..calm ...and more). and i don´t know if i have to change all situations one to one or a one change is linked with the others... :hmm:
I have to change all the values for every situation or only one is sufficient.. ?? :88)
thanks

Yes, each ocean has 21 different weather conditions. The colors need to be set for each condition so they look good together. Better to work on one ocean at a time.

Ok thanks TT !
its a bit time expender but it´s interesting :hmm:
I've just started using this as well. It would be enormously helpful if there was some form of a help-file to go with it.
Specifically, It'd be useful to know which colour-blocks need to be changed to what values in order to gain different types of effects, and which ones you need to be careful of avoid getting weird effects.
I'm trying to get the seas appearance to be more grey-green viewed from above, with very poor visibility - perhaps 5 yards or so - underwater, and a fairly rapid loss of ambient light, so that under 100m it's nigh pitch-black; with the overall underwater sea-colour being a dark-green. All without luminous green sees at night!
Any help in this regard would be most gratefully recieved.

In the program install folder you will find a small help file (readme.txt) which gives a few tips, although maybe not the specific ones you are looking for. The important tip in there is this one:
"Start SH3 Color Inspector and and (see the) color values and combinations available. There are many possibilities. Experiment. You can't hurt anything because you can always show the default game colors with a click of a button, and resave these."
You'll need to experiment, as most likely the original thread where a lot of what was discovered (way after the tool was written) is probably gone by now.
Sorry that I don't have the answers guys. I simply wrote the tool so they could be discovered by you, the explorers.
All the best,
TT
