Concrete sub pens

I was just wondering why I'm not starting patrols in sub pens. I,m still outside with the crowd, its 1943 Lorient. Using Rub1.44 SHIII Commander 2.1 and HT 1.43. Is this correct or do I have problems with my computer. If it is a bug does anyone know how to correct it. Thank you. DC2

Perhaps it is a historical development design fault, like many others in the game. :lol: Perhaps the campaign was written at the time as the 3D designers had not yet finished the subpens, therefore the mission designer placed the subs outside in the external basin. At the time the subpens was finished, there was no more time to correct the starting positions of the subs. SH3 had to hit onto the market by a final divorce of Ubisoft.

You can see this fault also in Kiel. You start outside the subpens in an empty basin, you can hear the farewell music but the nurses and other people stands far away from you in another part of the harbour :rotfl:

There's a nice mod that allows starting patrols from subpens (where available), although I dunno if it interferes with Rub, etc. (I doubt it interferes with other mods. It seems only to mod sub location at the start of a patrol).

Stavinky's subpen mod are in the HT mod. But only in Lorient I don't fix the startpoint on a subpen for traffic purposes. But in the next HT version I already mod all the start points do meet the historical facts. This means that until oct 1942 you will always start in a open place with nurses and band. After this date you will depart only in subpens in "secret" way.
