Problem with RuB [Archive] - SUBSIM Radio Room Forums

I, just installed Rub1.44, and I have a black screen when I start the game :(

Tried again on a fresh install and had the same problem.

Any idea??

If it goes to a black screen lock-up immediately after starting the game it's almost certainly a problem with your computer's ability to run the RUb intro movie files. Try deleting the Intro.wmv and Logo.wmv from the data\Movies\Intro folder. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling the original versions of these files.

Try and see if they will play with Windows Media Player. Chances are that after you see them a few times, you'll never want to see them again...

Those videos are blank anyway. People asked for the videos to be removed, so I found a couple of empty video files to overwrite the originals. Unfortunately a few computers have problems with them. I may eventually remove these files from the mod, as they are a bit troublesome.
