I have not really paid much attention to this mod but I know it took some time to create so I am presuming its quite a valuable addition to have.

Can someone please help me by explaining what it is all about and if there are any problems related to running it with RUB HT and SH3 commander?

What are the good and bad points with Improved Convoys Mod?

I think there is no conflict cause HT changes the SCR mainly whereas IC changes the RND Layer. They both go together in IU i think.
Atm im Working on missons for the SCR layer in HT which will maybe be addet when i m ready and they are Game profen so i see the SCR of Ht every day....and its nearly impossible that it can cause Problems when is nothing changed. So after game testing my missons there should also be no conflicts . but just use the JSmodenabler and u won t have any problems they are both in the format that u can easily install them with the JS.

There is no conflict between the latest IC mod and RUb1.44. I just installed the new IC in the upcoming RUb mod, and it works fine. As usual, just make sure your boats are all in their bases when you add the mod.

IC is built on realism about the convoys, where and when the traffic actually where and as far the game allows the right kind of ships.
The latest versions has added some more single merchants in areas they actually where (areas where often the IX sub was sent to patrol) and also made a increase in arctic convoys. I also think Jason reduced distance between columns in convoy.

As mensioned before, no conflict with Rub.

You talk about Rub HT, IC, and SH commander?
I don't think it matters what order you put these in. They don't use the same files as far as I know. Then I have not seen the latest SH 3 Commander.

You also asked about the bad points in IC.
I guess it depends on what you like and not.

Before Jason put the convoy tighter it was a hughe distance from escorts and convoy ships. That gave the possibility to hunt without interference from escorts if you just could make it into the convoy and kept your self silent and invisible. Now this is fixed so this manouver is harder to perform.
If you like realism in convoy's, then this is the mod.

I know Wolfmann has also made a very good convoy mod. He has put his effort in correct escorts. Then there is more singleships added. (if I remember correct) Tried it and it was quite nice!
Just a mater of taste I guess!

Wrong! RUb includes an older integrated version of the IC mod. Install RUb first, then IC.

HT should be independent, if I remember correctly. Why not play it safe and install its RUb version after RUb?

And SH3 Commander is a totally independent program. You don't even have to install it in SH3's folder. Install it anywhere you want.

gouldjg wrote "Rub HT", as "the HT version for Rub". gouldjg mensioned three mods, "Rub HT", "IC" and "SH 3 Commander". That's how I was reading this :P In all cases Rub should of course be installed first. :yep: but this was not the question here as I read it
