hi, i have been having problems whit my RUB installation,
game crashed to desktop or rebooted the computer when diving or crashdiving,
after 2 days of testing i have comed to the conclusuion that the extra diving sounds casued the problems for me.

at high hardware sound accelration the computer reboots after that the sound stalls when diving,
at low acceleration it works better, but it still crash to desktop 80% on all diving attemps,

note on high time compression when the game dosnt play the sounds diving works whitout problem.

playing whitout sound enabled also works whitout problem.

now im wondering how i could remove/possibly edit the sounds added by RUB,
first i would like to try and reduce the sample rate and quality of the sounds, i think that could help. but if that dosnt work i need to replace them whit the vanilla sounds.
however i have no clue where i can find the sounds and what format they are in.

i would prefer to keep the sounds if possible and just edit them to make them more compatible whit my system since they add alot of atmosphere, :hmm:

does anyone want to help me whit information on where i can find the sounds?

The sounds are in /data/Sound.

They are .wav files, which will be openable by Windows Sound Recorder (in Accessories>Entertainment I think.)

You need to save them in the following format:

44khz, 16 bit, mono, PCM.

Otherwise crashes may occur, especially on computers with onboard AC97 audio. Or you could download Improved U-Boat, where I did this for all sounds.
