this is my first attempt of "modding" , wanted to ask you: "is possible to render more detailed this sea version in game?" (like 2D .tga)

The kills count (nazi flags), the yellow stripe on wings, the metal plates.....are all to..........to.........confused, is possible clear this detail?

Is the skin 512 X 512 ? you shoud be able to make finer details if you resize it to a higher resolution! the game will fit it to the model any almost any size!

I would, I like the new skin!,
There are lots of skins out there for lots of objects in the game, you can't make the argument not use use one skin just because someone already made one, This isn't Russia!!.. :roll: :-? :o Well for some of you maybe it is!!

I am using already the Beery's skin, it is better than the original one.
But I welcome to any high definition skin. :yep: :yep:
I think the current air skin mods lack details because before the CCIP's Camera mod nobody could to see the airplanes from a close distance. Now it is different.

I'd tryed to use 1024, 2048 and 4096 :o

Result was a better definition of some details, but no way for the small small texture like a kills count. I'll think that delete the nazi's flags.
Now i'm working to retext the Sea Hurricane in 2048, i'll post you the last and finish version.

After i'll thinking to retext all plane in SH3, i'd found more ww2 color photos.

Sure, there are other skins for Hurricanes out there... just as there is for U-boats and everything else. LOTS of people have their own preferences... and will make their own choices.

If i'll understand how SH3 use the texture, i'd think is possible to create a single different skin for any country: one skin for US Avenger, 1 skin for British Avenger, etc.

Sergbuto had made this for ship skin, maybe is possible do the same with plane.

1 step at once, first retext all plane, after i'll thinking about multyple skin :rock:

Is it possible to replace the upperwing roundels with the correct red/blue combination, or is this a limitation of SH3?

Also, letters on the side would be good - AHIMOTUVWXY would work without reverse problems (might even be an idea for the plane number?) ;)

Just a little suggestion to go with JSCones' advice...

You might add a little shading or weathering where the blue meets blue on the wing roots and a bit more definition to the long fuselage stringer ribs.

However, that's only my two cents. Don't let it worry you.

Hehehe, i think that the key is in .SIM and .ZON file.
Is possible that in this 2 file ther's a line that give a position to a marking texture.

But i don't know how is possible open and read this file.
