Is there a way to mod in the wakes of planes at high altitude you know the stream they produce from there engines so you can see them looking up without puting any planes.

The problem is the altitude required to produce contrails... from the U-boat the aircraft would be so high that all you can see is a very small speck with its contrail.

Also at that altitude it should be almost impossible for the aircraft to spot a U-boat and attack it due to intervening atmospheric haze.

It is a neat idea... but practically speaking I'd have to wonder about its validity in SH3.

Off topic note... in "Pacific Fighters" I first found contrails... coming from my own flight at high altitude... verrry cooool! ... and I wasn't even expecting it. I thought "What the.... would you LOOK at THAT!" :ping:

The Idea originally was as you traversed the channel you could see high altitude bombers going to there targets but not to attack the u-boat if you know what I mean.In WWII you must have seen the contrails of the bomber formations crossing the channel

Ahhh, roger that. Pretty cool idea. I wonder if there is anyone who can pull it off. :|\

If you made the bombers Axis then they wouldn't attack anyway, plus if you didn't use the camera they could be from any side if you just wanted to see the contrails.
One question though, did the old WW2 aircraft have contrails?

Salute mein fruend!

Ohhh yes... I've also seen pics of contrails taken from the ground...

during the Battle of Britain. ;)

You could see the paths of the defending Hurricanes and Spitfires twisting in and out of the German bomber stream.
