Pretty :) I'll try to scan the picture of Lada's sail peri/sensor assembly, but have to go bring a scanner first

That would be cool

Need to tweak some stuff to make it look better and then map it.

Any takers to paint it?

lol, Thx Kap. I kinda figured. Still miss that ride though, any chance we could get a 3d submersible model of a red, 88-89 Lada stationwagon... ala James bond's Lotus? Just kidding;) BTW that SSK really looks beautiful, keep up the good work.

I'm working on a scaner now so by the way I scanned all interesting pictures from the nTW's article about Lada, same that drawings came from. No detailed view of peri/mast assembly unfortunately, the one I remembered is just picture of two periscopes, and the boat launching photos shows no masts installed yet... but anyway some interesting pictures.

It looks like a great sub.

When can we try it in game ? :)

LuftWolf

When SCS decides to add it. ;)

No playables can be added to game via mods, unless you break the EULA and hack the executable...

Hm don't know proper term in english... my technical dictionary translates that a photo is a close-up of kingston-valves of bow ballast tanks. Comment says that in older double-hull SSKs (so Kilo) this was covered by a wire mesh, now they are closed by closing flat covers to reduce flow noise when running. In general this photo is given as an example that constructors took greater care about flow noise than in previous designs (like older Kilo).

looks okey Xab, but you might want to fix the polies on the front of the deck.
btw, i'm currently modeling a new kilo for dw which shall be 30k polies full with geometrical detials. I'm dunno when it will be ready, tho.

Yea that front bit bugs me.

The top section was a separate box that was attached to the model and the certain welds attached.

I never have been able to figure out ow to do things like that so they are smooth.

I have a back up version from before I welded bits together.

Pain in the ass if you must know.

2019 does this Kilo have working torpedo doors?

Very nice. Just to let you know the torp doors have specific names that are hard coded. I have a list of them. Also working out the pivots is a pain.

Thank Xabbarus,

Ah yes you mentioned about this list a while ago, could i maybe take a look at that list, please?
Yes the pivots will be a hell of a job to get it right.

Btw, you should update your website :D

But I need someone to look at my javascript for the pop up windows.

I'll find it and send it to you
