After playing with a plain 1.4b setup, I have decided to try the mods.
I downloaded all the mods at Beery's site and installed:
1. Jonesoft mod enabler;
2.RUB 1.43;
3.Sh cmdr 2.
Do I need anything else? I see there is a flotilla mod 1.44 and a RUB 1.43 patch. Do I need them?

If you're going to use RUb, you'll need the patch. Otherwise you'll get the simultaniously amusing and frustrating error of having your boat start patrols underground (at least at Bergen).

Thanks, what about the flotilla mod? is it still required if I am using SH commander.

You won't need to use the Flotilla mod. It's already incorporated into RUb.

You might want to get the unreal uboat mod to unreal a few of the real things. The Rub has many excellent pluses, but it has the minus that you must accept all or none of them!

I may tweak it eventually, but first I want to get a feel for the changes it makes to the game. I tend to be conservative in my approach to mods.
