Hi everybody.

For those of you like me who don't use their paper map (takes too much space on desk!) and who would like to use the time of loading a mission (campaign mode) to plan the best route to get to your patrol area, I made a new loading screen with a map of the north atlantic I took on Terrapin's site (thanks to whoever put it there).

Here's a screenshot:
http://pages.videotron.com/magienoi/sh3/MapLoadingScreen.jpg

I know it's a bit small and you can't see the numbers on the map but it gives you a rough idea of where you're going.
I suppose that's what the devs had in mind in the beginning because the file is called map.tga!!

If anyone is interested you can download it here (http://pages.videotron.com/magienoi/sh3/MapLoadingScreen.rar) (RAR file, approx 1MB)
And it's JSGME friendly.

And if you want to add it to your site Terrapin, be my guest.

Cheers,

Iceberg

Haven't you got the map out of the box, if not there is one in the documentation folder, you can print that out?
That gives me an idea where I'm going, I know a few here have in pinned on the wall next to the PC.

He has it...just does not use it as stated in the first postFor those of you like me who don't use their paper map (takes too much space on desk!)

I also dont use the map that came with the game...only unfolded it once and put it back in the box and havent looked at it again since.I dont have the desk room to have it open and sitting there nor do I have a close wall accesible to my desk to make it worthwhile pinning up..so this is a great mod that I will be using.
