Hi all!

Please help Rubini and me!

Does anybody know the NEWEST and latest Version of Sansals Miccow Mod?

Or is it the Version which is Downloadable in the Subsim.com Downloadsection? If yes, then great!
That is this one:

Sansal's Milk Cow Mod (1.87 MB) - It adds historical vessels for the refuel and torpedo resupply in campaign. It simulates from the naval bases configurations what used to be milk-cows. So you'll see in the game map how these units move in the areas where historically resupplies took place. You just have to approach them as if they were your base and then press ESC.

Thank`s for all answers!!!

A small question - I haven't yet tried the mod, but I seen screenshots which show Aux Cruiser act as Tanker/supply vessel. I guess it's also realistic, but has there been an attempt to use a U-Boat for this? A stationary AI U-boat doesn't seem to have problems and never dissapears. Just curious.

Type941,

I never used the Milk mod yet. But it's a good idea and perhaps bug free...

yup a type 9 should be fine for this. Perhaps there is a problem with unit entry date though.

however, even a type 2 boat would be fine honestly.

Problem is still that u don`t know excactly where they will appear on the Map!

U have to take a look on Sansals great Map with shown where they are when rechable......

Damn that we don`t have the Altitudes and Heights, (like in SHII) in SHIII! so we could make more efficient and ecactly Navigation......

:)

Hope the numbers help u..... Time to go to bed for me.....

Alright, greetings Sale

:sunny: I have an idea: we just use the grid where they will be. It's absolutely sufficient...and I will add radio calls for this! Or only the radio calls, what an idea! :sunny:

@ Rubini!

Damn, GREAT idea! :D

That would be fantastic!

U don`t have any Symbols on the NaviMap, just get a RadioMessage where the Grid is shown!

So u know just when the Resupply boat will be available and in which Grid! so u have to search them in that Grid! no Mapcontacts anymore..... Realistic and very fine :D

Something like this:

BDU

To all UBoats! Resupply Boat U-461 arrived at his PatrolArea! U-461 will be available in Grid DH51 between 11 August 42 to the 29 November 42................................................ .....................................

Great..... Ok, if u make that, please send me all Radiomessages (u write them in english in the messages_en) so i can translate them into German and include them for the German HT version! (German HT version is only changed in RadioMessages)

Because a lot of people are loving ur HT Mods.... and will join the newest version!

Hi guys,

Here is the link for the Sansal's great Milk Cows mod adapted for the HT mod. Directions inside.
http://rapidshare.de/files/5113546/Sansal_s_Milk_Cows_for_HT.7z.html

Later I will add radio calls for it. The AIUboats can't be used as a milk cow unit because SH3 don't manage them correctly as a land unit...until now.

Enjoy!

What is a Big HT Version??

Will the mod work without HT Version, whatever that is?
Can I just install it?

Thanks

Rubini

simsurfer,

There's not a big HT version. It's only a inflate expression.

HT=Harbour Traffic mod.

The Milk cow mod is a stand alone mod. I only adapted it for the HT mod. So, the link above is to be used if you already have HT mod installed.

Oh, I see, thanks for the reply.

I use the mod enabler and am thinking of unenabling the other mods and adding this resupply mod after I create a new carreer. It sounds like fun.

Hey Rubini,

Thanx for adding the milkcows to your HT mod, saved me the trouble of doing it myself, hehe!

simsurfer ,

This link in this thread is for the milk cow version to be used with the new HT mod. If you don't use the HT mod just download the standard version. The milk mod is not compatible with RUB.

The milk cow ship will only appears in certains historical dates. Look in the map which is inside the mod, it shows all the positions and dates. So just go in the area (if you are in the correct date) and search for the milk cow ship. The radio messages will be add soon. Read the readme inside for more info.

Is there still the "30" day refuel issue when docking at a milchcow?

If so too bad it can't be altered to like 1 day or so.....

Also, do you lose the ability to award metals to your crew, after refuling, then returning home; cause the game thinks you already arrived at port?

Rubini
09-18-05, 02:16 AM
No, all these issues are fixed by Sansal. You only stay one day to milk. But when you are at home base, changes your sub emblem (for the same if you want) 2 or 3 times to simulate some days in base, it's renown free. And you don't loose yours awards, etc. This is all in the readme file...
