The Ops mod (in RuB 1.43) adds historical operations for Operation Rheinubung, the last battle of the Bismarck, and some mediterranean stuff, if I recall the threads correctly.
I was thinking that the single missions in default SH3 already do some of this, so if I load them now - say the Bismarck one - I'll get two Bismarck's/etc fighting it out because single missions load up the campaign first, right?
I was thinking if thats the case then it would be an idea to replace these missions with ones set up like in the Scapa Flow mission - the uboat is just dropped in the right place, in the right time, at the right date, and with the historical weather conditions set up. The player then has great fun doing whatever it is they do.
Though to do this, I need:
1) The Operation in question (Bismarck, Narvik operation, others?)
1) Location (exact)
2) Time and Date (exact)
3) Historical Weather
Any of the Ops guys care to contribute? I'm not an obsessive war history buff so I'm actually quite vague about exactly where and when to go see the ops stuff happening, never mind make a single mission based on it.
