I have found a XI causics on this site, and i'm sure to had seen a vii caustics somewhere but don't remember :-?

Well im sure you know what a reflection is. How your boat reflects in the water? Well caustics is the water reflecting on your boat. If you take the camera underwater you can see caustics on the bottom of the boat. But you are also supposed to see them above water and they didnt build it into the game, so it needs to be modded. I just cant find the one that this topic is for.

i jhust named the skin "Caustics" cause the texture i worked from wwas called "caustics" too...

should be up at realuboatsim... if u encounter any trouble, jhust holleer... :)

Where is this file? I found something called VIIC_Caustics.zip but not sure if this is the right one. I was hoping for something for the VIIB. Unless this works with that too.

The VIIC and VIIB share the same files so it will work.

Yeah thats what this is I believe. Im pretty sure this is animated. Unless of course im wrong.

Yeah, I'm searchin for this mod too; I have seen the file you are searchin for but it is NOT animated.

Sure it could be possible, if a Veteran modder could respond to this problem, it could be nice !

I found the file. When you go to the downloads page on the site, you have to go to "Silent Hunter 3 Skins and (some) gfx mods" rather than the general mods page. Its called VIIC Caustics I believe

Well I assumed it was animated. Yeah it could be very nice. Im sure it would be quite a challenge for anyone to pull that off. But there is already animated caustics on the belly of the boat. So maybe they already have something to start with?
