How to create sub emblems?

I think I remember a thread about creating emblems, but I can't find it. I thought it was mentioned in the sticky. :-? :oops:

i create mine by taking a stock one, and altering the TGA file. only rule i apply: the outer limits may not be ouched by the emblem so: emblem on TGA file , and black all around, at least 5 pixels

put it in the emblems folder, and selmect it next time you use the game. :up:

From another thread, I found a U-556 emblem here:

I cropped it out of the other emblems. To get rid of the blue I changed the image to graysale. Once I start changing the background to black, I quickly lose where the emblem itself is. It is hard for me to pick out what needs to be further edited. Believe it or not, I think it was harder when the background was blue. :doh: Would someone be willing to finish the emblem? I would GREATLY appreciate it. :yep:

Hey Dude check this out: i have a few problemos with them "beep" ing alpha channels though :roll:

For now the options are:
- live with the small white bits around the color
-have some kind of background color, like white(as seen) or grey or red or what ever your choice is
-paint it on the coning tower texture itself, and thus be able to make it bigger.

what would be your choice? what do wou want? :D

Anywho, I guess it would be best to have a gray background. Could you do two versions if it is easy enough? One version to have a gray background, but no border. The other one would have a gray background with black border. I'd like to see what the two versions would look like. I really appreciate the help! :up: :up: :rock:

hey thats cool with me, i ll go for the black border in a Varient.
Jhust a few clicks of work, and "save as"...

i took all these Noseart Decals from the website, and am redoing them all, in big size :D ,
or, at least those that we dont have in the game yet.
also some more fantasy images converted to Nosearts/SubEmblems.
like Crossed cannon barrels, anchors, Jolly Roger Skulls Beer Bottles... and More. :D

keeping an open mind, i could take any Picture i find, and use it as a base for an Emblem- endless possibilities. :sunny: :hmm:
