OK, I've tried to read through any threads that might cover this topic, but I did not find too many direct references......
I am still a "code noob," but I'm trained as a music composer, and the relationships between code and music notes and how they relate to one another seem to me very similar...
So, is everything written in hexadecimal concerning all of the code in the game?
Because we don't have access to UBI's SDK (software development kit, right?) for SH3, we don't know how the code is written to affect AI, etc.....
....but, it MAY be possible to change the code because everything is written in hexadecimal (if it is, and I assume this is the case), however, its like trying to find "a needle in a haystack" as we don't know how the data is arranged, except by trial and error....trying time and time again until the effects are desirable, right?
One more thing....the lurbz DATNavigator is great! It sometimes takes a long time to compile the data, but it seems to be pretty much all there once its done....I love the object extraction tool, and using Blender, I'm able for the first time to see extracted parts.....I also see how it will be fairly "easy" to morph parts....
....there must be similar programs like DATNavigator that, I'm guessing, may even have more features, right? Even if they are made by lone "hackers" and not by companies, etc.....
Thanks for any replies,
-Jeff
