Looking to record audio sound bits. Have tried having "sound recorder" running in background while movie running (das boot) but all I record is static. Any thought??

There you go: http://www.cowonamerica.com/download/

JetAudio.

Records any sound without static, be it online radio, a movie in background, your voice through mike, etc. Better still, it converts to MP3 if you must. It's also a media player. Oh, and it's free.

You'll thank me later.

Those who have a Sound Blaster card, can use the option of recording "What you hear".

I dont understand what's difficult. You click "Record", and you record, selecting the output first, along with savepath and file name. You got to make sure he green bars are 'moving' left/right in equalizer type of mode as well.
Play your DVD with whatever you usually play it, and record it with this tool. It can't be easier, surely you are overlooking something.

this screenshot shows what you should have when recording, I hope it helps. :know:
