after my HDD format, I've lost a few tools I had for SH3, one of which was the DAT file extractor. I need to get my hands on some warship skins so I can edit them, but I can't remember exact name of the tool, and DAT EXTRACTOR and DAT TOOL didn't give any good results on searching the forum.

Can someone post a link (and perhaps add it to the FAQ section) please?

it's not the DATCONVERT for sure. The one I want previews TGA files and extracts them if necessary.

SH3 Unpacker (http://www.delraydepot.com/tt/sh3.htm)
or
Chessmaster 10 Dat Tool from Ubisoft (ftp://ftp.ubi.com/us/games/chessmaster10/misc/DatTexExtract.zip)

Seeadler, is that one of CM10 compatible with the SH3 Dat's (all of them I mean)?

You can extract only TGA's with that CM10 tool, resize them or paint new ones and save them back into a new SH3 compatible DAT file (the original DAT file is saved as a backup in this process)

Chessmaster 10th Editon use the same graphic engine as SH3 and most of the the SH3 devs work before on Chessmaster 10th ;)

Oh, good to know that. Then I'll add it to the list. :D
