How to make water more transparent?

After using rub 1.43 mod, my water is murky/foggy so when looking from outside i have to be close to see my submarine...Hiow can I make water more transparent?

I don't know if TimeTraveller's program will work after installing rub 1.43 mod, but perhaps its a start.

Change the fog values in scene.dat file. One set is for water transparency, see the thread on 'Beyond the 8 km limit'...Manuel shows how to do it.
