help re missing officer

not sure if this belongs in this forum, but as soon as i hit mid 43 one of my officers disappears. doesn't matter what sort of boat i'm using. happened using patch 1.4 was running the Basis config file out of Rub for 1x time compression, removed it and replaced with the orig but still this, as u can see it says i have 5 officers when there's only 4 any ideas

You probably left him in damage control when you returned to port.

thx 1944 i need 5 as every patrol one seems to get killed by planes :arrgh!:

.... I think the main thing is to make sure and remember to remove crewmen from damage control before exitting game.
