What are their differences, I mean between Dangerous Waters and Fleet Command. To me, Dangerous Waters is a refined version of Fleet Command. And I can't find it in the retail store downtown.

Fleet Command is a strategic game - you tell the platforms what to do and they do it. DW is more of a tactical game in that it allows you to directly control the platforms and operate their components as though you are an actual member of the crew.

DW is not available in stores. You can purchase it from Battlefront.com

I love 'em both and highly recommend DW if you have FC.

That sounds nice. So it is more like Egnima: Rising Tide?

At Battlefront, can you order by using postal order or bank draft? I don't use Internet purchase.

Thank you for the information. I am downloading the demo now.

By the way, where do I get Hyper Lobby, do they have an official site. Does the game include an in-game browser?

Gamesdomain is giving me 491 KB/s speed! :rotfl:

Gorgeous! Exciting one is even I shoot up the resolution to 1600x1200, and max'd out all the graphics, the FPS counter was holding at 80!

The Main Menu is very much similar to that of Sub Command with extra graphics, annotations on the left hand side. All the selectable functions are almost the same as in Sub Command. The Option, in particular the same preseantion like Sub Command, and surely an evolution from Jane's Fleet Command. The background theme is great too.

The demo only enables 1 sub and 1 aircraft. The SeaHwak is impressive. I have flew the Longbow and Commanche before as well the Ka-52. But I have never flew any anti-submarine warfare chopper. It's like 2 games in 1 box. A semi-hardcore flight simulation, and a hardcore submarine simulation. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to command the Frigate, which I believe would be a great experience. The switch from 2D panels to 3D external views and the map is truly a complete migration with major improvements from Jane's Fleet Command and Sub Command.

I tried to order it but there are no options for mail order request. Please tell me how you pay by cheque.

P.S. The disappointment is that the coastal line is poor drawn and rendered. Should be something like Silent Hunter III. Of all 3 simulations from Jane's Fleet Command, Sub Command to now Dangerous Waters, they all lack of graphics work on the ground. For instance, putting some structures and buildings would be very nice. And really, more work on the coastal line is needed. Now, get this, we have waited for so many years for naval simulation to catch up with today's state of the art computer hardware meaning CPU and GPU, and this is a total over-sight. The poor rendering of ground objects takes immersion away. Who knows when the next simulation will be due. Anyway, all in all, Dangerous Waters is the way to go for the next couple of years.

Perhaps, if I can't order the box, I will stick with Sub Command and Jane's Fleet Command. I am planning on some great scenarios and line them to campaign.

To Order WITHOUT a CREDIT CARD and also read details about our Sales Policies and Shipping Charges, see our
Ordering Options and Sales Policy Page (https://www.combatmission2.com/purchasepolicy.html)

I (pre-)ordered by Money Order. :yep: Took forever tho, but it was worth it!

:) Reuben,

Good luck designing for SC - but I guess you would have a much bigger audience now over here at DW.

Two things re credit cards:
1. Pick a supplier who covers internet losses.
2. Accept their credit limit then ring-in and reduce it to peanuts.

Limit your exposure but get into the 21st. ! ;)

Look forward to welcoming you when you join us here.

What are the possible reasons that these games are not going into the retail market?
