View Full Version : Wierd CTD's
Hi, everything running ok for weeks then I updated my Harbour Traffic to 1.45, deleted all profiles, started a new campaign, 1940, St Nazaire, left and headed for the channel, saved, quit, and later reloaded, when the screen Initialized, CTD!
Put back the old version of Harbour Traffic (1.43) repeated the steps above and still CTD, frustrating, yes! :yep:
I continued taking stuff out (use Mod Enabler) then after removal of about 5 items, all worked again, so I started to put them back one at a time, testing (boy does it take forever to load and test), the annoying thing is that I have it all back to Harbour Traffic 1.43 and still ok! :88) At this point I'm too scared to update Harbour Traffic to 1.45!!! :dead:

have you put the the 1.44 files for harbour traffic ?
1.45 is only an update of the 1.44 if i remember right.
Perhaps only that "little" step is missing ;)
hope it helps

I had previously downloaded 1.44 but 1.45 came out before I had a chance to install 1..44, anyway I noticed the file size, checked the readme, then installed both.
One thing I noticed though is that if you delete a frofile it doesn't, the only way is to delete it externally! :-?
I think a serious look into sorting out mods that work with each other is a must, I currently have 42 mods installed & if something goes wrong, well perish the thought. :88)
One thing to note is that JScones Mod Enabler is a must mainly because if you update SH3 you have to get SH3 back to a basic install for the update to work, and also if you want to uninstall, it has to be put back as well, I know because I tried it, the darn thing kept insisting I repair it, but it couldn't, had to manually remove register entries before SH3 would allow a new install!! :stare:

Do you have Float_Planes_Mod???? I had a CTDs yesterday and after much work I figured that this mod was making problems and now I can use Harbour Traffic 1.45.
No, never even knew that mod existed! :-?
Just funny how removing things then putting them back seems to have fixed it, I rekon that if I had to re-install the game & patches then loaded these mods it probably wouldn't work, but then again it might work better!! :88)
It needs someone to test all mods for 1.4 compatability & sort out ones that clash with another, but what a daunting job! :dead:
