Hi,

Actualy i'm trying to find what exactly reduce the
distance to see my sub under water. I was thinking
the Env files where doing the trick but i'm
still have reduced vision on free camera under water.

Is there something i'm missing ?

Thanks for any information.

Hello,

I guess it´s the "scene.dat" file..

I tried the fix that worked with RUB 1.42 and it didn't work either. You should just be able to copy over the RUB 1.43 envcolors med, Atl and Arct dat with the stock games, but I still have the fog. What gives? Anyone know the reason why another change has to be made? What else am I missing?

It's really in the scene.dat file. You will need a hex editor. Try to just copy the stock SH3 version or look in thread about 8KM visibility stuff...

Thanks for the quick response. So I install the game, make a copy of the scene dat file, install rub, and finally copy the stock scene file over the rub one?

Yes. But you need to notice if others mods inside RUb don't use the scene.dat file too. So, the scenes.dat file is about the distance that you will see your sub under water, the "unclear" water is about the ENV files.

Post here your results, ok?

That was it. Just copied stock scene.dat, envcolors med, Atl and Arct dat over Rub ones. Worked great. Thanks for the info.

U-73,

Great!
Did you look for other mods using the scene.dat in RUb 1.43? :hmm:

I checked and only saw one scene.dat in all the RUB mod.
