WoWs Wakatake 2nd class destroyer for SH4

Of WWI design, the Wakatake 2nd class destroyers were too old to serve with the fleet in 1941 so they were used as escort for the Japanese convoys during WW2. With a total of eight ships built, seven of them started WW2 and most ended up sunk, with only Asagao surviving (damaged) the US steamroller of the late stages of the war.


To use this ships in SH4 you will need the game updated to the 1.5 version. Just enable the mod in JSGME and the ship will be added to the Japanese roster as a Destroyer Escort.

Not yet, working on CTD issues but will soon. Look forward to checking it out, will provide feedback.


Curious. Have you ever considered modeling the Kaiten suicide torpedoes the Japanese used? Reading a book about them currently, would be an interesting addition to SH4 if possible.

Perhaps a clone of one of the homing torpedoes made to resemble a Kaiten? Launched from AI boats etc?
