Hi everyone!

I'm glad to release this new mod: Danae class light cruisers (HMS Danae/ORP Conrad, HMS Dauntless, HMS Dragon/ORP Dragon, HMS Delhi, HMS Dunedin, HMS Durban, HMS Despatch, HMS Diomede).

This is the first of a serie of units for Royal Navy, reworked in collaboration with flush deck.

Pack include a multiskin unit based on Dane class light cruisers (eight skins included).

Based on my previous release, 3d updated using SHV model and parts and a lot of details (portholes, stairs, cables, lifeboats, glass windows\interiors, turning radars\rangefinders, torpedo launchers...). Original guns from The_Frog.

08/22/2024 note,
i've reuploaded the file with different ship's name definition into documentation\readme file. If you have previous version, no need to re-download it again.

This is the fix needed:

Installation Instructions:

-Just extract the contents of the folder Data to your Sh3 main directory.

-Open Data\Sea\Englishnames.cfg (or Germannames.cfg, or Frenchnames.cfg depending on your language) whit a text pad and add the following lines:
CLDClass=RN Danae class CL

Hi everyone!

10/22/2024 note, i've reuploaded this unit with some improvements, after the experience with current WIPs.

Improvements include:

- new guns textures, more "on theme" with ship superstructure, thanks to flush_deck.

- 3d model correct after i found 2 faces with reverse normals.

- searchlight now included into library.

- new uniform for british gunners, more historically accurate, thanks to flush_deck: a dark blue(almost black) suit with white anti flash hood and gloves and the RN gunner's emblem on the shoulder:

Does the game system automatically choose from these ships when it selects escorts for convoys or dispatches ships to follow up on u-boat sightings?

Or do this have to be put into a campaign script to show up in the game?

Not a n00b question at all... talking about warships, it depends on your campaign RND file into the campaign folder. In most of supermods, some convoys include calls for escorst, a random battleship or a random light cruiser \ auxiliary cruiser etc. In this case, the choosen ship will appear in the game. If you want instead to place the ship in a specific place in a specific time, for sure you need to script them.

I'm only playing Career right now, so I guess if I install this mod (or any of your others) there is a chance that one of these ships can show up in the game?

Hi everyone!

I've reuploaded this unit with a new library, with specific textures for lookouts\crew members' uniforms (not only gunners as previous). This is a clone of standard lookouts library by The_Frog, but with specific and accurate textures for british crew members from flush_deck:
