Cover_PPI and Cover_AScope

In the US sensors 3d data, there are two objects - Cover_PPI and Cover_AScope, which I can't figure out what they are for (which boats/placements)? Any ideas?

All indications are that they are hold-overs from SH1... :o

Time was, when you first got your new boat, and there wasn't any radar, those covers would be in place. When you got radar, the covers would come off and the radar would work. Folks have tried in SH4 to get them to function like in SH1, but have failed. Some aspects of the game are just strange...
