Uplay version of SH5 problem with running TWoS

Hi Eveyone,

So I purchased SH5 and I run it fine vanilla, no issues.

I downloaded JSGME and TWoS and installed them correctly as per the step by step instructions here:

Great set of instructions. However, now I launch the game from my documents, uplay pops up asking for my game key, I add it it in and uplay says launch the game through uplay.

I try to launch through uplay and I get the following error:
Game startup failed. Please check your uplay installation.

If I do the repair game option, it gets rid of the mods, and the game returns to vanilla and runs again.

Any help?

Ubisoft has been trying to mind-meld with you, and tell you that UPlay is dead, kaput, fini... It has been replaced by UConnect, aka: Ubisoft Connect. Go to their website and search on it, and do the PC download and install. Then try to run the game... Of course, Ubi has also been trying to tell you that UConnect is NOT compatible with Windows 7 and will fail if you attempt to use it or an earlier version of Windows... only 10 & 11 now... :hmmm:

I do have Ubisoft Connect, and that is the launcher I use when I try to open the game, and I get that error message.

Game startup failed. Please check your uplay installation.

Maybe this :

-If you own Digital/Ubisoft Connect download version of the game, you'll have to perform manual sh5.exe replacement before you proceed to TWoS installation. Valid v1.2.0 sh5.exe from DVD version of the game can be found on this link...
