View Full Version : Thoughts on New Mission Idea?

G'day guys,

Just wanted to get some feedback about what you might like to see in a new mission I'm planning. I wanted to set it in the Red Sea, with Sudan as the main focus. Here are some options I'm weighing up:

1. Set in 1980s Cold War or Present Day Civil War? (688 or Virginia?) Should I even try a Russian boat??
2. Submarine mission or Perry mission? (There are different mission opportunities with each)
3. More 'sneaky reconnaissance' tasks or more 'shooting and blasting' tasks or a bit of both? If both, what ratio? 25:75?
4. Most of my missions go for roughly 4-5 days - too long? Just right? Shorter? (the longer the mission, the more triggers that can bug out and need to be tested)

I really could do all of the options above, and I'm not too fussy. I can't keep everyone happy, but it'd be interesting to see what people prefer.

No word on release date, probably a couple of months at the least...

Cheers guys,
Stew

Stew;
Just IMO, but in my experience of uploading stuff for Flight Sim, people usually don't care about having an input.
Come up with a good scenario, debug it, and post it.

Then wait for all the complaints to show up. :har:

Sudan sounds interesting, but what about the Gulf of Sidra in the 1980's? :hmmm:

Thanks Bob for that - wise words as always - on both your points! :Kaleun_Cheers:

I agree too that a Gulf of Sidra mission would be cool. I've got a couple of books on it and the Libya map is all ready to go! I'll do some research and thinking!

Thanks Bob, you're a legend!

As I mentioned in Ukraine #2, long transits aren't that fun. If it's broken into parts with a campaign, you could move the sub/ship to the next location, just assumed we did the transit.

In Ukraine 2 I was hoping to get my fire control back, so personally I'd like some fire missions.
