Wanting to play SH4 With mods, dont know where to start

Good day,
I am a veteran of Silent Hunter 2, 3, 4, and 5, and I recently got the hankering to replay Silent Hunter 4 from 1941 to the end. However, since I have played the vanilla game so much, I was looking at spicing it up with some mods for the first time. What are some good ones I should try out?

Try 'em all!!! :har: - but seriously, you can make multiple copies of your "clean" stock installation folder, and rename those copies, then use MultiSH4 (https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=1110) to create new, unique 3-character Save folders for each copy. Then apply a different mod to each copy, and try them to your heart's content. As Onkel Neal and Aktungbby allude, TMO is a good choice, giving the player a more difficult experience. Myself? I am somewhat biased in my opinion, but I like Fall of the Rising Sun Ultimate (https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?p=2635992#post2635992) also. It is a re-working of an older AOTD_MadMax team mod, combining most of the aspects of all of their versions of Fall of the Rising Sun (FOTRS) mod, which itself was based upon TMO v1.7. But there are several other valid choices you could do, each with advantages and disadvantages to what you might be looking for.
