Issue opening a new Steam account

I recently attempted to open a STEAM account. I received the email "To continue creating your new Steam account, please verify your email below" I followed direction, pressed "Verify my email address" But result was NOJOY.

I tried two accounts same result. Anyone know of a fix?

I tried again this morning following the same directions and for whatever reason the verification process worked today :k_confused:
