I sometimes get a warning about my O2 level getting low which made me wonder why there doesn't seem to be a O2 Gauge Option? At lest not one I have found.

What am I missing?

TIA -

The "regular" meter to use is lower-right, next to the Speed Telegraph, and is the CO2 level, which displaces the O2 - that's the one to be warned about.

The "warning" will show in the upper right corner, where you see the "New Objective" icon in that image. Both will display the amount of similated CO2 / O2 in the simulated atmosphere. The warning will usually after just a few hours under, but you are generally good for 24 hours or more, dependent upon the boat and conditions. The "warning" icon will change color as time advances and the CO2 level increases. I just tried to find stats on CO2 levels, but all I got were hits for climate change, in spite of being very specific with my search terms... but there is a formula somewhere... perhaps someone remembers the level a human can withstand short-term before the are rendered unconscious... The different members of your crew will react differently, which is a random function of the game.

Thanks for the great explanation! I really appreciate the detail. re The difficulty searching for things - I have noticed this problem as well, no matter how many parameters I provide, I always get extraneous answers, AFA the CO2 Vs O2 - I'm still struggling with CO2 being a dangerous gas - the trees and oceans both give off a huge amount of CO2 - more than humans I believe.

Thanks again,

Nah, the trees absorb the CO2, do photosynthesis, and give off oxygen as a byproduct of that process... Trees, grass, or most anything else green (except money) are beneficial like that... I don't remember about the ocean, but the fishies and other sea animals are like us, and consumers of oxygen & expellers of CO2... but the ocean (it is made of H2O though) also has green (and other colored) stuff growing in it that gives off oxygen too...
