I would like to thanks these people because I used some parts of their mods: HanSolo (W.A.C.), VonDos (many ships), Ahnenerbe, Ericlea and Makman94 for their graphical mods (ARB WideGui 1920*1080, M.E.P. v.6); thanks also to all the authors of the ships I have used and a special thank to Chinese U-47! INSTALLATION
A) you need a clear copy of SH3 v1.4 installed on your pc;
B) delete the two folders into “…data/SingleMission” (“English” and “German”); it's because the single stock missions are not compatible with surface-mod;
C) copy the surface sub-mods into Generic Mod Enabler “MODS” folder.
D) open “5_ARB_res_1920x1080 – 2.5.2” and follow the instructions on “instructions.txt”;
E) set compatibility to “SH3.exe”:

A) First of all enable “1_Surface Mod 2.5.2”;

B) enable sub-mods based on the type of campaign you want to play (CHOOSE ONLY ONE!!!): (now only Regia Marina)
- 2a_Regia Marina-Surface Mod 2.5.2
VIIB = BB Littorio;
VIIC = CA Fiume;
IXB = CL Duca degli Abruzzi (with torpedoes).
- 2b_Kriegsmarine-Surface Mod - 2.5.2
VIIB = BB Bismark;
IXB = DKM Admiral Scheer (with torpedoes);
IXC = DKM Scharnhorst (with torpedoes).
IXD2 = DKM Lutzow (with torpedoes).
- 2c_X°_MAS-Surface Mod - 2.5.2
IXB = RN Orsa (with torpedoes);

XXI = M.A.S. (with torpedoes).
- 2d_Raider-Surface Mod
IXD2 = HSK 4 Thor (with torpedoes).
C) Activate “3_Single_Mission” if you only want to play single missions. Remember to disable if you want to play campaign.
D) “4_black contact” if you want... black contacts only on navigation map.
E) at this point you MUST activate “5_ARB_res_1920x1080 - 2.5.2”.

START CAREER
(I recommend trying a few single missions before tackling a campaign)
Choose the year and in which fleet you want to start.
Fleets are:
Kiel and Wilhelmshaven 39-45
St.Nazaire and Lorient 40-44
Bergen 40-45
La Spezia and Taranto 40-43
Memel 42-45
You can choose the ship that you prefer from the start. You can also add the crew but be careful: there must be no icons in the flack gun or deck gun. If there are any, dismiss them, move the icons from the “electric engine room” to the “Stern Torpedo room” and than add new crew.

GAMEPLAY
If your warship has torpedo tubes, you will automatically be equipped with TXI (acoustic guidance), which have different ranges depending on the sub-mod you are using. They start looking for their target after 2 km of straight.

KNOW BUGS
A) You must be on a base to save the mission!!!! (otherwise C.T.D. will occur when you will load).
B) There must be a maximum of seven icon in Flack Guns. Leave empty the last (8th) icon (otherwise a C.T.D. may occur).

C) Do not use time compression greater than 128 while entering / exiting a base (otherwise a C.T.D. may occur). I recommend turning off the radar before entering a port
D) Before opening MISSION EDITOR disable the video resolution sub-mods “5_ARB_res_1920x1080 - 2.5.2”. If the mission editor has a black screen, close it, delete "d3d9.dll" and "d3d9.ini" from the root folder (SH3) and try again.

its that a bug? i have the same amount of the crew like on a uboat, its not increased
i followed all steps and the campaign etc its working i can play so far nothing found just that

it is not possible to increase the crew because, even those who are not involved in the repairs, contribute to the repair of the compartment in which they are located. This renders "death by flood" ineffective.

Hey me agian after a 30min battle with a "ca cumberland cl" and i guess he cant be destroyed? after that 30min i decieded to ram him but my ship just going through it like on this screenshot.. and u can see i destroyed all main cannons from him, he just shooting with his secondary batterys.. ah and i used the fiume

Is it anything to compared to the old Warship Mod? While the Warship Mod was good it feeled a bit unpolished and simple i must say.
Also do you plan to add more german Ships like some H-Class BB? Like the H-44 (Großdeutschland) or H-42?
And will it be compatible to some of the larger Mods/Megamods like LSH, WAC and so on?

There have been substantial changes since the first warship mod. I redid all the .zons, the weapons range and I modified the shell file. It is now possible to be destroyed by sinking.
Radar detection varies depending on which ship you use (both your own and enemy ships).
I have already added among the playable ships (but not published) the Bismark, the Sheer, the Lutzow and soon the Scharn (I'm waiting for it from Von Dos).
Among the non-playable ones I have added all the ships by Von Dos and I will add others by other authors later.
The torpedoes, where present, are functional.
The mod for the riders is still missing. More precisely the ships are ready but I haven't adjusted the campaign yet (.rdn and .scr files).
As far as ease of play is concerned, it is obvious that if you find a convoy or a single cruiser with the Bismark, you will have an easy time. It will already be different if you find a task force or if you encounter battleships with a cruiser.
The mod is based on WAC5.0 and is not compatible with any other mods. However, if you have any requests let me know; if the respective authors authorize I can partially insert them.

Well of course your Mod is liked^^ My dream was always to play my favorite ship -the Bismarck- in an Game and i liked the old Warship Mod even it felt unpolished. I like the changes/new features you done in the mod!
Absolutly looking forward to the new playable Kriegsmarine Ships! Would be nice to play the Campaign with the Bismarck.
Well i would like to install a megamod soon (still think about which on) but thats nice to hear!
For the H-Class i will search for it^^ Maybe VonDos will do them someday or maybe someone else.
Also are there some features you planning to add in the future?

Well the only Ideas i have left would be new interior´s for the ships which are more fitting, the abillity to walk around in the ship and maybe some upgrades which are fitting (for example there was plans to upgrade the Batteries of the Bismarck-Class Ships to over 40 cm and give the old 38 cm batteries to the Scharnhorst-Class ships).

You can already walk on ships by moving from the bridge view.

enjoying the mod so far but have not come across any large merchant convoys. I know this mod is more so about ship to ship combat, but is there any way to increase the number of merchants?

with the release of the "rider mod" where you are the commander of the "Thor" there will be a campaign with more merchant ships. You can then choose which one to play.:)

Just minor use of grammar in the instructions. Hey, so I had it running, then tried to activate the japanese, game got all messed up. So I deleted everything and started from scratch. Now when I try to apply the fullmap and chrono to sh3, it fails to apply.
Any suggestions?

Maybe try with blank campaign files. These files, if too heavy, may lead to memory (RAM) issues.

How about a beginning to end list of what needs to be done to get this mod working properly? Every single step in order. BTW mine all show 2.6 version? Where is the 2.7 version?

Okay I got it running using the kreigs ships, but the maps are all f'ed up, The Chronos SH3 patch always fails when I try to run it. Is this why the maps are messed up for me? It shows water coming out of keil but it's land and vice versa when I try to plot a course. How do I fix the Chronos patch failing? It worked the first time, went to the dos screen and did something, but now that I try to get everything working again the patch always fails for me. Any suggestions? Otherwise it's great so far, nice work.

If the game works but doesn't load the campaign, the problem may be memory related.
Have you applied the 4GB patch?
keep in mind that it takes an average of 10 minutes to load the campaign (with a medium/low PC)

I appreciate that, but those are the instructions I tried over and over again. And each time it "failed" to apply the patch. No matter what I did. I uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times but to no effect.

If I remember correctly, this issue has something to do with the files in your MyDocuments folder (SH3 folder).
